Overview
A safe home is more than just four walls and a roof, it is the foundation for health, security, and human dignity. Yet, millions of underprivileged families in rural and tribal regions live in makeshift, fragile huts vulnerable to extreme weather, heavy rains, and natural disasters.
COST TRUST’s Safe New Housing Initiative works with grant support of SELAVIP Foundation to construct disaster-resistant, hygienic, and eco-friendly housing units for destitute families, widows, elderly individuals, and marginalized communities.

In-Home Sanitation & Hygiene: Equipping every constructed home with an attached household latrine and clean water access to eliminate open defecation and improve family health.

Home Repairs & Structural Upgrades: Repairing leaky roofs, reinforcing mud walls, and paving flooring for low-income families who cannot afford major renovations.

Eco-Friendly & Solar Integration: Installing basic solar lighting systems and eco-friendly ventilation to ensure energy-efficient, well-lit living spaces.
