Animal Welfare & Protection
Protecting and Caring for Cats & Dogs
Overview
Animals share our environment and play a crucial role in maintaining ecological balance, yet stray and working animals in urban and rural areas frequently endure injury, disease, abandonment, and abuse.
COST TRUST’s Animal Welfare Initiative works tirelessly to provide rescue services, medical treatment, mass vaccination, and humane population management to ensure animals are treated with care, dignity, and respect.

Key Focus Areas
Emergency Animal Rescue & Care: Responding to calls for sick, injured, or abandoned stray animals and providing immediate veterinary first aid and rehabilitation.
ABC (Animal Birth Control) & Anti-Rabies Drives: Partnering with veterinary authorities to conduct humane sterilization and anti-rabies vaccination camps to manage stray populations safely.
Community Feeding Programs:
Organizing daily feeding drives for street animals, particularly during severe weather conditions, heatwaves, and seasonal shortages.
Clean Water Trough Installation:
Installing and maintaining concrete drinking water troughs across rural and urban spots for stray animals and birds.
Humane Education & Cruelty Prevention: Conducting awareness workshops in local schools and communities to promote empathy, responsible pet ownership, and reporting of animal cruelty.
