Elderly Care & Dignity
Honoring and Caring for Our Seniors
Overview
Senior citizens are the wisdom keepers of our communities, yet many destitute, frail, and lonely elderly individuals in rural and urban areas face neglect, poverty, and severe lack of healthcare.
COST TRUST’s Elderly Care Initiative is dedicated to ensuring that senior citizens live their twilight years with respect, essential healthcare, nutritious food, and warm social support.
Key Focus Areas
Daily Nutrition & Meal Support:
Delivering healthy, hot meals and essential grocery kits (ration packs) to bedridden, abandoned, or destitute elderly individuals.
Geriatric Healthcare & Medicines:
Organizing mobile health check-ups, providing monthly prescription medicines, and offering free assistive devices like walking sticks, wheelchairs, and hearing aids.
Shelter & Daycare Support:
Assisting vulnerable seniors with safe housing repairs and creating community day-care spaces where elders can socialize, share stories, and stay engaged.
Pension & Government Scheme Assistance: Helping illiterate and low-income seniors apply for and receive government old-age pensions, healthcare cards, and legal entitlements.
Emotional Well-being & Companionship:
Regular visits by volunteers and health workers to combat loneliness, provide emotional counseling, and offer compassionate care.
